AI CURRENTLY BROKEN! Pathfinding is not perfected yet, so the AI will stop moving soon after encountering each other. Don't expect it to work because you'll be disappointed XD A work in early progress. I know it doesn't look like much, but don't worry, there's TONS of work going on behind the scenes. Check back on this project later and you might just find a very cool game on your hands! :D Here's a sneak peek at what's to come (assuming all goes well): -battle tactics for AI enemies -single and two player modes -multiple weapon combinations -legendary battlefields from ancient history -immortal mode?? (play as Greek/Roman gods) -updates regularly (I will try at least), with new weapons, characters, maps and modes -sophisticated combat system with multiple attack types, each with their strengths and weaknesses A shout-out to my teacher (whose name shall be shortened here to Mr. L), my good friend who encouraged me during development who shall go unnamed, and my other good friend who was the first to comment on this project :P You all know who you are... NOTE!! In its current under-construction state, you may find many features either half done or not working at all. Don't worry, cool stuff is coming... ;)
Coding ~ 95% by me Art ~ 100% by me Inspiration ~ Almost 0% by me (I drew lots of inspiration from several other games-- to name a few, Star Wars Battlefront II, Minecraft and Fortnite Z by @FunnyAnimatorJimTV. The sheer complexity of the coding makes up for the unoriginality though. The numerous AI mechanics I have put to work here sometimes leave me wondering how I even pulled this off LOL. Like seriously, I didn't think I was even capable of this before I made it. From experience I can say that I'm usually too lazy to do something this big LOL... Go check out the scripts for the "AI Units" sprite, that's an insane one. And believe it or not, I'm only about halfway done with Ancient Combat 1.0... and that doesn't even include all of the awesome updates I have in mind! Oh yeah... I have to finish the actual game first-- right. I'll start thinking about updates once the main game is done. :D) Wow that parentheses was insanely long. 's raycasting tutorial helped me fix a problem with wall snagging. I was also inspired majorly by Star Wars Battlefront II and to a lesser degree by 's Fortnite Z. Other than that it's all me, including the Roman Soldier animations! Woo-hoo! 'tfeellikemakinghashtags //Music Credits// Even though these songs are not even in the game right now lol... I might use them later.
