[taylor swift songs i connect to + why] FIRST OFF sorry i haven't posted in a while, honors classes + clubs have been K!LLING me. anyway, this proj is basically a bunch of tswift songs i connect to personally and a lil' thing why. ⠀⠀7. i think he knows (lover) this one is a strech but i connect to it a little bit because everytime i get a crush, every conversation i have with them, i act crazy, and the line 'skipping down 16 avenue' really works because when i get a crush 1. they OBVIOUSLY know it and 2. I get all happy and gittery. ⠀⠀6. labyrinth (midnights) i connect to this one a little bit because of the part where she says 'i'm falling in love again' because i fall for people really easily and also the part where she says 'lost in the labyrinth of my mind' because i feel stuck in my own head a lot. ⠀⠀5. you're on your own, kid (midnights) i connect to this one only because sometime i feel like this song is about growing up and realizing that you can't rely on everyone for everything, and sometimes you're on your own, and i feel like now that i'm older i understand that i have to rely on myself. also the line 'i wait patiently, he's gonna notice me', because i wait and wait for people to see me but they never really do :( ⠀⠀4. tied together with a smile (debut) i connect to this song because i have a friend who doesn't see how amazing and how beautiful she is, ans she's really tied together with a smile, but it's coming undone, and it's really just seeing how she doesn't see how incredible she is the the sentiment of this song. ⠀⠀3. the 1 (folklore) this song also connects to the same person as my #1 song, because i have a friend who i lost and i think that it would have been fun if they could've been the one, if they could have been my best friend but it didn't work out. ⠀⠀2. mean (speak now) this song i connect to SO MUCH because i had this guy who was SO MEAN to me for YEARS and after i first head this song 2 years into his bullying, i realized that this described it perfectly because someday, i'll being having this perfect life, and he won't, but i won't care about him because i'll be LIVING MY LIFE! ⠀⠀1. now that we don't talk (1989) when i first heard this song, and really heard the lyrics, i know that this song perfecly descibed my situation with the person from the 1, and the lyric that so perfecly describes it is "I miss the old ways, you didn't have to change, but I guess I don't have a say, now that we don't talk" because that's just so much what it feels like when you loose a friend.
