" [A bunch of loud static screams out of the tape recorder, you can't hear anything else aside from the screams on the tape...] [The door is closed for a moment... and, well... the screams have ended..] [When the Archivist speaks again, he sounds different... the tape's also the slightest bit distorted.] [??? sighs.] `Okay, lets start this over... ...... Statement of Tim Stoker, re-` [??? coughs, recovering after a few seconds.] `gh... Regarding an unknown incident, and possible death.. Original statement given May 3rd, 2021... Audio recording by-` [The tape gets distorted for a few seconds, and when it clears, he had already begun...] `-gins...` -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey boss, been a while since we've spoke huh? Still... I think I might have seen something spooky. Yeah, you might dislike my Joe Spooky moments, but I'm sure I saw something. Something that wasn't supposed to be seen. I know I'm beating around the bush. I was coming back to the Institute after Sasha asked me to get some snacks as someone had been hoarding them. Well, I saw something from a nearby alleyway, my curiosity got the best of me and I went over.. I thought I caught a glimpse of a body there... When I got over there however, there was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Aside from a small flare in the air, my eyes were probably just playing tricks on me... and I'm guessing you're going to just call me paranoid. Wonderful. I'm done here. Enjoy the spiteful chocolates I bought. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- [??? sighs, and he can be heard setting the papers down.] `Statement ends... ` [The tape gets mildly distorted, and before a static scream cuts ??? off, he can be heard...] `So... it was him I sa-` [The tape stops screaming as the Archivist is back in control, his coughing is picked up] "...God... this isn't... going to improve much.. sorry Garce.." [His voice can barely be picked up by the tape..] `its okay..` "...You saw when Tim was coming over to you?" `...Only for a second, though... I blacked out aright after.` "Damn.." [A noise, not unlike microphone feedback, gets picked up by the tape.] "Hm?" [Silence. That noise can be heard again.] [Jon tries to shut it off] + click + +it clicked back on+ + ... and back off. + +..and on again+ `Wha-` + click + +nope, it seems like the Eye wants more information+ `-ng on?` "I don't know.." + click, yet again... but immediately after, its back on, clicking rapidy on and off, so the conversation is cut off at some points. + `Is i-` "Not su-" `... s-` "Mayb-" `Ya th-` "It cou-" `Oh.` [Silence, only broken by that annoying clicking.] `-len.` "No it isn-" `I kn-` "We could ask h-" `Oka-` [Silence...] [The Archivist hums a song to himself] "A vivisection of me, done by God for all to see.." [... ...] H: "That song is so dumb.. industrial bugcore.." + It's still clicking on and off, but pauses in the "on" state. + [Sigh] "Stupid thing.." [That feedback noise can be heard again.] [The sound of the Archivist throwing the tape recorder onto the carpet is picked up, and a faintly muttered 'yeet!'] + One last flicker can be heard, then... + + c l i c k ! +
