I froze. How does she know? How'd she find out? She had only stepped near the doorway. My boxes were stacked all the way to the other side of the room. How is that possible? How? "Can you stop making fun of our names? Like, seriously it's..." Brooklynn was arguing. But I couldn't hear her at all. How does she know? I couldn't get that question out of my mind. HOW? I kept asking myself. I felt like crying. My fists were clenched and on my lap. My eyes were watering and my mouth was scrunched up. HOW?! I wanted to punch Doreen's teeth out. Badly. How does she know? To add to it, all Brooklynn was doing was arguing with Doreen. At least she's arguing for me. I sat in the chair, crying my heart out. How did she know? "YOU GOTTA STOP WITH YOUR AKA'S MISSY! THEY ARE DRIVING EVERYONE NUTS" I heard Brooklynn scream. "And you gotta stop with your-" I heard Doreen stop in the middle of her sentence. She looked at me. "Oh, What's wrong? Can't get a comeback to my burn? That's just SAD" Brooklynn argued. "Valentine? Are you OK?'' I heard Doreen ask. I didn't even look up. "LOOK, VALENTINE DOESN'T WANNA HEAR YOUR VOICE! JUST BE QUIET! AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN ARE YOU OK? VALENTINE IS JUST FINE!" Brooklynn screamed. What sympathy. She assumed and didn't even look up to see if maybe I WASN'T fine. "Shut up" Doreen pushed Brooklynn away. She walked towards me. My head was still down. "Valentine? You OK? I'm sorry I called you Valentine's Day... I didn't mean to be rude. I thought it was a cute little nickname" Doreen apologized. If I wasn't so miserable. I'd be surprised. "If you wanna talk..." Doreen patted my back. I immediately hugged Doreen. "How did you know?" I asked, crying. "Know what?"
