At lunch time (which is far later than it usually is in London), I sit with River, Em, Elliot, and their friends. It Isn’t that bad actually. The other people at the table are: Rileigh Fern, Ophelia Reynolds, and Sophie Matter. They aren’t in any of my classes except Ophelia. She is in my algebra class, which is in sixth hour, which is right before lunch, so we have just seen each other. Rileigh is a girl with pale skin and bright blue eyes which get even brighter in sunlight. Her hair is a deep black shade, and in two braids. Ophelia has tan skin, and dark brown eyes to the point where they almost look black. Her hair is very light blonde and very wavy. Sophie has darker skin, and has different colored eyes. Blue and green. Her hair is dark brown almost to the point where it was black, but not as black as Rileigh’s. “So Lana, I heard you got on the cheer team!” Sophie says to me, breaking the silence. “Yeah, that’s super hard for someone who just moved here,” Ophelia adds. She was on the cheer team and on the tennis team in her freshman and sophomore year, but that didn’t work out, so now she just does tennis. “Yup! You heard correctly!” I respond. “So when is your first game?” Ophelia asks right before she plops a piece of candy in her mouth. “Uhm, I’m actually not entirely sure. You’d have to ask River or Em for that,” I told her, throwing a slight giggle in at the end of the sentence. Me, Ophelia, Sophie, Elliot, and Rileigh all turn their heads to face River and Em. The two raise their heads up slowly, and in sync. “Yes?” Em asks, everyone is still staring at her and her sister. “The game’s in three days,” River tells everyone. I don’t think Em even knew when it was. “The first game is in three days,” I tell my mum when I get home from school. “Oh yeah? Is there a fee to see it?” she asks, “Alex said he wants to watch the game as well as you in it.” I laugh slightly and respond, “Yeah. It’s only five pounds- I mean five dollars.” “So it’s not that much. Alright! We’ll be there,” mum concludes. I then get up from the couch and walk to my room.
