SCP-7259, also known as "Fool's Deathbed", is an anomalous bed from an unknown company ranging in size from Twin-King size. SCP-7259 appears most commonly in hotels, but will occasionally manifest in a private home. It can have a variety of physical appearances, usually changed to match the room's general color scheme and theme. SCP-7259 does not display any anomalous properties until the guest of the property (or owner of property in the case of it being in a PRIVATE house) has spent at least 7 sleeps in the area. After a week of sleeping at the affected property in the instance of SCP-7259, it will wait until the guest or owner is asleep again, and will extend its previously hidden tendrils out from under the covers to grab the victim by his/her arms and legs, and pull him/her under the covers, where it will quickly rip them to shreds and digest them. SCP-7259 has shown to act differently in behavior depending on the age and condition of the person using it as a bed. If the victim is a child under the age of 18, it will instead tuck them in at night and keep them alive until they leave, or until they turn 18 or older. With elderly people, it will tighten the covers at the sides to make sure that they don't fall out in their sleep, and will change the covers to be softer for the comfort of the elderly person. If there are two different aged people (one adult and one not), SCP-7259 will wait patiently until the non-adult person leaves the bed, then kill and eat the other one. SCP-7259 doesn't seem to react in any way to pets sleeping on it. If the person using it is sick, it will heat up or cool down to make them comfortable and sometimes even generate objects such as medicine or food. These objects, known as SCP-7259-A, seem to show no anomalous properties whatsoever before use, during use, and after use, and have been deemed safe to use. The tendrils it uses to pull its victims under are black, strong, and yet very thin, and seem to be made of a substance resembling human muscle tissue. It's sticky to the touch and covered in small yet effective spines to hold victims in place, as well as a strange mucus that places the victim into REM sleep before they are actually eaten. It digests its victims under the covers, and multiple attempts have been to see what this process looks like, but all have been unsuccessful so far. After the victim is fully broken down, any remains or traces of the human are absorbed into the sheets, and they don't even leave behind a smell. The sheets smell freshest just after a victim has been fully digested, and it's unclear how it gets rid of the matter it absorbs. Attempts to wash the sheets have been met with results such as a wet, blood-soaked sheet with the texture of human skin being generated in the process. These sheets have been tested, and seem to contain human DNA, which confirms that it's the skin of the last victim(s) It seems that with every human it consumes, its sheets get more and more comfortable. The reason for this is unknown, but it's supposedly the result of the added mass.
