Gather ingredients, brew potions, and defeat the enemies! You only need to use the mouse. -- Ingredient Collection Phase In the first phase, you have to collect as many ingredients as you can by clicking on them! -- Spellmaking Phase In the second phase, you can ring the bell to get three random cards. If you have the necessary ingredients, you can level up a spell, or a brew a potion! When you've run out of rerolls or ingredients, ring the bell again to start combat. -- Combat Phase In combat, you're playing as Scratch Cat, witch edition! Use the spells you've learned and the potions you've brewed to defeat the enemies! -- Focus When you use a spell, it'll lose Focus. Use the Focus button (or a Focus Potion) to recharge the spell and use it again!
Behold... My probably-biggest Scratch project yet! The scripting and music were all done by me. The sprites and most of the sound effects came from Scratch, and certain sound effects came from Freesound. It's not my first turn-based battler, but it is a pretty complex one. Lots of clones, local variables, and broadcasts to retrieve these local variables from specific units. I'm quite happy with the result. And with the way it's set up, making new spells and stuff isn't too difficult, unless they do something super fancy. I've made a multi-unit clone-based turn-based battler before, which I haven't finished yet. I definitely ought to!
