The arena grows emptier by the day. But it grows restless too. Small tremors still shake the earth, which is coated in ash and ruin. The forests have toppled, the slow trickle of the streams has stopped. Pure destruction surrounds you, and all signs of hope have faded. But, in the distance, an unfamiliar sound echoes throughout the arena, and a small dot appears high in the sky. As it nears, you realize that it’s a helicopter. Scrambling to the top of a rock pile, you try to wave it down, but nothing works. It lands carefully on the peak of Mt. Capitosus. The same Mt. Capitosus that had killed so many, destroyed so much. As you think about what to do, an announcement starts. / Tributes. Congratulations on making it so far. The Capitol is proud of you and eager to see who rises to the occasion and will be crowned the victor. You know you want this. You know that you need this. However, three tributes besides yourself remain, and they won’t be able to get in the helicopter with you. Don’t let them get in your way and steal your place as the victor. Best of luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor! / So that’s how it’ll be. Get to the peak, eliminate the enemies, and get in the helicopter. Sounds easy enough, but now you have to execute it. Traversing the steep rocks of Mt. Capitosus, you forge a path. Rocks slip underneath you sometimes, but that won’t stop you. At last, you arrive to a flatter area where you an catch your breath for a moment. A moment of stillness, of rest. But nothing ever works out like it should, right? A large tremor rocks the mountain, and fallen ash rises, filling the air. Instants later, a crashing sound can be heard, and you look around with fear. But nothing can be seen. Feeling around, you realize that you are trapped inside of many basalt columns. There is no way out. Until you hear another shuffling sound...someone is trapped with you.
