Newfoundland dogs are great because... They are great nanny dogs. They are gentle giants. They are GREAT swimmers, and have been known to rescue people from drowning (They can be recruited in a rescue squad or something). They are fun to play with, and if they get TOO slobbery, you can give them a dog bib (I've seen pictures of a newfie puppy with a bib, and they are ADOOORRRAAAABBBBLLLLLEEE). And if they lay on you... you will die of laughing. You won't be able to get up for a while...XD. Males can get up to 160lbs (That's how big mine is!), and females can get up to...I forgot, so just know that females are most of the time smaller than the males, as far as I know, and the males are huge but still cute, fun, and slobbery!
