Shimmer placed the blue stillborn fetus on top of Debbie’s chest. She stepped back and folded her hands, waiting for Xerneas to give them the life they were so unfairly stripped of. The fairy type bowed its head and the ritual had began. They were both enveloped by the brilliant energy that had a polychromatic hue, it lifted them up into the air, the light dancing across their features and then, Debbie had white streaks spread throughout her golden hair while the baby grew white tufts. Eventually the glow subsided and they gently were returned to the floor. Tap looked solemnly at Debbie, hoping to see her eyes flutter open, hoping to hear the baby cry out. The silence was deafening, the room was as still as the graveyard. Tap turned his face away. Shimmer watched on. He whipped his head around as a loud wail echoed off the walls and Tap could see Debbie breathing again, he could see her chest rise and fall. The baby was crying and Tap didn't have time to stop the tears, he didn't care if Shimmer saw. He rushed over and hugged Debbie tight, crying into her shoulder. Shimmer looked at her, her heart breaking. She wished she could've helped. She wished that Debbie didn't have to die. She approached her as well, and took Debbie's hand. She looked down at her, and the baby, who had finally quieted down. "Thank you." Debbie said hoarsely. She looked at Shimmer, and the look on her face told her all she needed to know. “My baby girl… she’s finally breathing” Debbie smiled weakly. Shimmer let go of her hand. Tap didn't say anything. He didn't know what to say. All the words he wanted to say got caught in his throat, he couldn't make himself say anything. The two watched Debbie slowly sit up and look at her daughter, holding her close and smiling. She kissed her forehead, her eyes tearing up. "Welcome back into the world, Shimmer Tea Moore.” Shimmer gasped putting her hands over her mouth, and let out a squeak. She had a child named after her, a child who she would cherish and raise as her own. She couldn't stop the tears and neither could Tap, he had no idea she was planning to do this. The three friends shared a hug, Tap was still shaking from the whole ordeal, and it had taken a toll on Shimmer too, who had to watch someone so close to her be dead. But now, she was alive, and had a child. She was alive and breathing, and Shimmer would make sure she stayed that way.
