—Clanta Clanta is a very barren and scorching hot place. It is one of two tribes on the continent, and has some oasis's scattered across the land. —Form to include in remix— What tribe are you entering for?: Clanta Why are you entering for it?: Because it seemed like the coolest biome to work lore off of! And traditions could be very interesting considering the lack of food and the impending disease. (Ref should be included)Leader: Shark (Same as above)leaders family: Hallow Traditions: The food is scarce and conditions harsh. With two tribes competing for food, it only makes tensions rise in the dry season. Shark is a pretty harsh leader and enforces the old traditions: -Every dry season, any kether old or well enough to walk gathers near the edge of the “capital”. There, they split up and are forced to participate in a hunt. (It is called “The Hunt” because creativity) Any kether who doesn’t bring back food is either killed or (if you are rich, or lucky) imprisoned (kinda their version of taxes ig, except most of the food go to the richer.) The kethers that live in the more abandoned parts of the territory, if they survive, usually can hide from these without being caught. This place is like 100% thievery lmao -When any kether wishes to take leadership, they challenge the leader. If the challenger wins, the old leader is defeated and cast into the desert. They believe in killing the old leader in order to bring forth a new one. However, Shark has lead for many years because no one has survived challenging her. -They mostly rely on trading food to get along. Even though the rules are very harsh, they are usually all loyal to eachother. -They’re kindofa “take no prisoners” type and pretty ruthless in battle- if they’ve had enough to eat, that is. Trades: They are usually too suspicious to trade with other tribes. And rather unliked. But they willingly trade within their own tribe, which is usually how things go. - although their territory is kinda spread out, most of the land is unlivable and most homes are clustered around a central oasis in the middle of the territory. This is the capital(kindof), where the leador lives and the houses are more closely set together. Here will be found lots of merchants, but also lots of thieves. -Becuase most of the population is packed into a small central point, nobody usually guards the territory borders. The desert usually takes care of them before they make it to the city. -Their homes usually have a top space to go in and out and an underground space where cool air collects (usually where they sleep) and they can somewhat escape the heat of the desert. Hunting/foraging tactics: Most of these kethers are very fast. The only food here are lizards and the occasional bird or rabbit(or idk if there are new species in this continent, but here are some random animals I can always substitute out), so kethers have to act fast to catch their prey. They will usually stand motionless and low to the ground and wait for the prey to come into sight. Then, when their prey has come into the open, they whip forwards and snatch it in their jaws. (Sometimes, in larger prey, they’ll also whap it with their tail first, to stun it and prevent it from wandering off.) The large vultures and hawks in the area are also scrounging for food, however, and will sometimes attack unwary kethers.
So I’ve tried for an entry! If anything is wrong please tell me lol Shark is the current leader. Her only son, Hallow, is next in line. Shark’s mate died before Hallow was hatched. (Goanna redesign Shark here sometime or later ) Shark: She/her Hallow: He/they
