(click the green flag and listen to the music while reading this, it makes it more dramatic lol) 2023 draws to a close, and 2024 is at the horizon. The new year is a time of looking both backward and ahead, of reflecting and moving forward. I'll just take the time to say: what an awesome year 2023 has been! I feel like I've really grown and learned as a person; I think I've changed throughout the year for the better. In terms of Scratch, I've finished my biggest project yet: Mega Smash Madness (MSM). After roughly 2.5 years of development, my silly little platform fighter released on November 20. It looks like you guys are all enjoying it! Thank you to everyone supporting me on this project! Play it here if you're interested: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/552929993/ I've also embarked on a new journey, one that could very well top the biggest project spot: Strategic Expanse (SE), officially announced on February 1st. I haven't gotten very far on the project (what little free time I had, I mostly put into MSM), but I'm approaching the game carefully and things are looking good. Signups were hosted, and now SE has some confirmed characters! Throughout this year, I've improved my coding and art skills, which is helping me make better content. In addition, I've gotten the pleasure to meet a whole bunch of new people and do a whole lot! Thanks for being fun everyone :) BUT NOW, time to look forward. What does 2024 have in store? I don't want to promise a lot - there's no guarantee of how much time I'll have (this last year I promised a PvZ Shooter 2 update, I game I never touched) - but there are some things to look forward to. ~ the continuation of SE, of course. I plan on hopefully having a demo out sometime. ~ I've had some ideas for a PvZ fangame. We'll see if I actually do it ~ possibly an MSM DLC? :0 Overall, I'm so happy with how 2023 turned out, and I'm so thankful to all the people that helped it be so good! As weird as it feels, it's 2024 now. I said it last year so I might as well say it again: let's make this new year EPIC!
