The desert opened up before him like a hand, and like the sky yearns to touch the sea he was drawn to it. Treading carefully the feline made his way through the untouched sand, sun beating down on his fur, pawpads scratched and roughened. The moon brought him solace as the sun went to sleep. His heart beats and thuds against his chest, blood pumping in his ears. /thump, thump, thump/ His paws thud to a halt for he has long since passed the desert. Now great trees in all directions reach up and touch the sky, their leaves green and brilliant and happy in the mist. Those paws screech and stumble in the mud and he trips, flipping and tumbling through the rocks. Beaten, bruised and bloody, the cat’s eyes glimmer and he howls. Not the howl of a wolf, but a cry of sheer anger. In a puddle he sees his reflection, and his mud-covered face and wild eyes allow him to see, for once, what he truly is– a monster. The howl of the wolf thuds inside of him, raging with that monstrous bloodlust. Through his starstruck reflection he sees the wolf and its cries. The universe, like that desert, opens up to him, though not with any kind of secret or tale as old as time. The wilderness speaks to him and all at once it is clear. The nature of savagery and animals and the simple fact that his destiny is, after all, to die and to rot in peace until he is one with the rest of the forest. With its wicked yellow teeth and stench of rot, time itself seemed to hesitate before closing its eyes and turning its back to him again. Before the muddy feline, visible in his wild gaze, is a flower. His civility comes back to him. He hasn’t yet finished Beastpaw’s flower crown. And he should be getting back soon. But in the wild night, he realizes he is lost. He would find his way. Pensively, he thought that it didn’t really matter to anyone what time he came back to camp. Oh, right. It did to Beastpaw. beautypaw will now be considered missing if thats alright with admins since i will be unable to do anything on here for a bit. he is NOT dead i just can’t do anything for a while today is my last day for a bit. see you all in 2024
