To set the color, press the button that says "Set Color". You will enter three color levels of red, green, and blue. There are three modes, which are normal, inverted, and grayscale. Normal mode leaves everything alone. Inverted mode inverts all of the colors. Grayscale mode makes all of the colors gray, which just shows how bright the color is, but in gray.
