"All her life, she has seen the meaner side of things. They took away a prophet's dream for a profit on the street... All his life, he's been told he'll be nothing when he's old. All the kicks and all the blows, he won't ever let them show..." --- Approx. Time: 2 Hours Did I mention that both Vi and Bloodshot come from broken families? Vi was married once, but only for two years, as her husband died when walking in on a robbery (which is one of the reasons she takes her job so seriously). She, at the age of twenty seven, had a foal named Cold Case whom she gave up for adoption. Bloodshot's biological father died from natural causes when Bloodshot was a pre-teen. His step-father was an abusive alcoholic to both him and his mother (which made Bloodshot fairly protective of mares and foals). His father was arrested for domestic abuse, and Bloodshot became the one to protect his mother for the rest of her life. A year after Violet has her foal and Bloodshot is promoted as Ponyville's head detective, the two are partnered for a plan to catch the notorious Yin and Yang killers (along with a grumpy batpony); however, unknown to the pair, their parents had a much more permanent plan in mind: Marriage. While first opposed to the idea, the competitors turn into friends, and soon, lovers. Vi and Bloodshot take in Cold Case as their daughter when she was six. Cold Case (who later becomes a lawyer/detective) later gets a half-brother named Steel Rim (eight years younger; later becomes one of the royal guard) and an adopted sister named Scarlet Sunset (ten years younger; later becomes a forensic scientist). Their family becomes one of the most prominent in Equestria. ... Lookit that. Vi is smiling. And it's not, like, a smirk. It's a smile. That's, like, amazing. She's like the more aggressive version of Levi. Basically, IT'S RARE. And a happy ending for the two detectives.
