Jake was quite close with his grandfather, but one day Jack's grandfather mysteriously dies and he leaves clues for Jack that spans to a different world and time. As he is exploring this new place, he stumbles upon a large house, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. He gets familiar with the residents and soon finds out, they all have special powers. Ultimately, Jack discovers he has his own powers, which is how he found Miss Peregrine's home. The residents in Miss Peregrine's home live in a time loop for their own safety because monsters and evil characters threaten their existence.
