Week: 3 Genre: Romance Prompt: Two People are introduced, but neither of them admits having met before. ~ “Hi! It’s nice to meet you!” were the first words out of her mouth after our mutual friend had finished our introductions. While she seemed to have forgotten our past together, I was still quite surprised to see her face. I suppose we had both asked our friend to set up a blind date to try and find the perfect match, but little did they know that we had a secret history that I would quite like to ignore. She used to be my accomplice back when we were in our teens. Crime was our ally, and we never got caught. That is, until I turned her in for the reward money, successfully creating an enemy that I would fear for the rest of my life. You see I was the brains and, contrary to popular belief, she was the brawn. She fought back the whole time and when I finally got a good look at her face, well lets just say the look in her eyes was one that I would never forget. I had tried to avoid her for years, before I finally decided to redirect my focus on not embarrassing myself at the office where I now work. However, now it seems as though I probably should have stayed in hiding for a little while longer in order to keep myself safe, or at the very least, not been so desperate as to ask for help in my love life. “Nice to meet you too,” was my swift reply, but I knew that this date would be anything but nice.
