Around this time, he went to a mechanics fair, and saw (what he thought was) a modified monkey costume. He purchased it, and had it delivered to his workshop. After taking a closer look, he found it to be a rather simple man costume. Owen also around this time decided to sell some game units to stores, but found it hard. His solution to this was to make an arcade/pizzeria combination. He chose pizza, because it was simple. He, after going to this weird pizzeria with organ players, he realized there was a need for entertainment, but from where? He was inspired by a trip to Disney (unchanged in the Popup95 universe), and saw the animatronics at one of the “rides”, Bear Country Jamboree. He thought that animatronics would be a good source of entertainment, as they could last for a while, and you wouldn’t need to hire actual human entertainers. The original name of the restaurant was Monkey Mandy’s Pizza (based on what Owen thought was costume was originally), but was changed to Punky’s Musical Pizza Theatre. On 1977, the first location opened in San Jose, California. The animatronics (named Abari Punkamics) were the animatronics to perform at these early locations. Chapter 2 - Franchising Owen created a subsidiary of Abari called Punkamics Inc, to manage locations, and animatronics at the time. Originally, there were only 3 characters: Punky Musical, Bryan Bunny, and Christina Chicken. Christina was replaced by Mandy Musical, and Justin Rocks was added. Around this time, the restaurant gained a lot of traction and attention, and this gave Owen the confidence to leave Abari. Around this time, he started franchising out locations, to expand the brand Punkamics Inc also left Abari as a subsidiary. One of the more important people being a part of the franchise was named Robert Bark. He was drawn towards getting a bit of the restaurant profit. He signed a 200 million dollar contract with Owen. This game Robert rights to franchise his own locations. Robert made a subsidiary to specify his own franchises, called Pizza Spark Time. This, unintentionally, started what would become a weird “war” between 2 pizza restaurants. Do you want more chapters? Well, wait a few days, and that will come soon, along with the ENTIRE cast of this parody!
