Okay, so, here are some tips I have for figuring out your theriotype. ▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣ Tip 1. Try meditating. Meditation can sometimes help to reveal a theriotype that you were in a past life. But despite the fact that meditations can be helpful, don’t rely on them too much because they aren’t always the most reliable. Make sure your 100% positive before confirming an animal is your theriotype from meditation. But if you do want to try meditating, here are a few tips to help you do that. ✎ try going somewhere quiet, silence will usually help you focus more. ✎ get somewhere comfortable; for me, i like to sit on a bed with lots of fluffy pillows and blankets. If you don’t have those, I’d suggest just using whatever makes you comfortable that’s an available resource. ✎ Listen to nature sounds. I know that above, I said to go somewhere quiet, but sometimes it also helps to focus your mind on one sounds, like the trickling of water or the chirping of birds. Whatever makes you feel the most at home. ✎ Steady your breathing. For me, at least, having a calm and controlled breath helps me to focus on the meditation. Tip 2. Do /lots/ of research. Research is one of the most important keys to figuring out your theriotype. Focus small details that you might normally miss when figuring out a theriotype. For example, if you keep having a phantom shift of what you think is cat fur, focus on that shift more. Does the cat have long or short fur? Does it seem like a small domestic cat, or a large wild cat? These key details can help you to narrow down your search. Also focus on other shifts, like mental shifts. Do you feel more at home in your household during mental shifts like a domestic cat? Or do you feel like where you are is wrong- like you’re supposed to be out in nature like a wild cat? (Please note that I’m just using cats as an example, these tips aren’t specific to cats.) Keep narrowing down your search until you think you have only a few options left, and then slowly narrow it down between those few. Remember, don’t rush it. Take as much time as you need to be 100% positive of your theriotype. Tip 3. Focus deeply on any shifts you may have of that animal. I know this is closely related to the 2nd tip, but focusing on shifts alone can also be important. If you don’t get shifts that often, then use what details you do have to try and figure it out. If you get shifts fairly often, then try to build a mental picture in your mind of your theriotype, using the shifts you have. For example, you may have a phantom shift of a tail and whiskers, a mental shift of a strong urge to run through the forest or something, and a sensory shift of a strong sense of smell and hearing. Add those details together to try and create a small mental picture of your theriotype. Also remember this- these tips are mainly focusing on just one theriotype at a time, but plenty of therians /do/ have multiple theriotypes, those are called polytherians. So be careful when making a mental picture of your theriotype, if you get mostly shifts of paws and a tail and you think it might be, let’s say, a wolf, and then you get a shift of a long scaly tail or something, then thats most likely a different theriotype or a cameo shift. But still, I recommend focusing on one theriotype at a time. ▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣ Also, I’m sorry if I get anything incorrect, I’m just making this off of the knowledge I know, so if anyone knows that some of this is wrong, please tell me and I’ll fix it accordingly. ^^ Stay wild, - GingerOnPaws
