It was quiet. Then it was loud. Still loud— two cannons go off simultaneously. Then it was quiet again. It IS quiet again. You look down at the tribute that has just been lost. A metallic stench lingers in the air...you can tell that it will haunt you forever. But you mustn’t worry about that right now. The basalt columns collapse around you, and ash flies into the air. This time, you’re still able to see your surroundings. In your peripheral vision, you catch a glimpse of the other tribute. Your only obstacle to victory. Up ahead, still on the summit, rests the helicopter. You immediately know that you must get there first in order to live. To become the victor. Your thoughts are interrupted by a voice. A familiar one. President Imperium. His voice is snakelike, cutting through the air. / Tributes. You’ve made it to the finals. Before that, take a moment to admire Mt. Capitosus. It has loomed over you during your entire stay in the arena, and now, it is where victory awaits. I expect a good show from the both of you. Make this battle something to remember./ Clearly a very supportive message to hype you up! All you have to do is get to the helicopter first...and eliminate the other tribute. Easy enough, right? You sprint up the side of Mt. Capitosus, leaping over boulders and dodging other obstacles. As you get closer and closer to the summit, you feel the heat of the smoke against your fur, and the cold ice beneath your paws. But that isn’t important, as you’re almost to the helicopter. You grab onto the rope ladder and are filled with joy- and confusion- as the helicopter begins to ascend. You’ve done it. But didn't the president mention a battle? The other tribute grabs onto the ladder beside you, and you realize what this is. Aerial combat. --- Congratulations Angel and Specter for making it to the finals! You are only able to carry two items with you into this fight, as any more would become unwieldy.
