hi im bored so i decided to do a process! i hope this helps someone ik its not rlly helpful tho and i dont go in a lot of detail but i dont rly know how i’ll write the steps here: 1. draw a sketch, this will also be my lineart, but i know a lot of people do a sketch and then draw the lineart on top so you can do that instead too 2. color it in, i do this on the same layer but again u can do it ur own way/on another layer if thats easier 3. i add extra stuff, like details, make the lineart different colors, add random lines, etc (still same layer) 4. add a background- try to make it lighter/darker than ur character, so that it doesnt blend in, also dont make the colors similar so that it doesnrt blend in again (itll look confusing) i just drew random clouds here 5. add extra stuff, again this is optional, sometimes the art looks better without it for me for this tho i put a multiply (blending mode) layer on top of it (i used yellow i think?) u can adjust opacity to make it better/based on ur liking also try messing around with different colors and blending modes. and then on top i added an add layer for the lighting using yellow again (just a few highlights and light beams) 6. finished art piece! - i used procreate and the brush i used is HB pencil incase ur wondering i hope that helps! also happy new year everyone! i cant believe its 2024 :0
