(click on the right/left side of the screen to switch) 100% awesome year. Thank you everyone <3 ---- I did the first art trade of my life in January in a burst of adrenaline. The trade was with DewtailDrops on fandom, and I tried out a more painting-styled art digitally for the first time. February didn't have that much art as I was preparing for my TOEFL; I scored 119/120, which brings us to March, when I received my ipad and procreate as a prize <3 the art shown is my first ipad art, done in ibispaint. I had been using my phone to draw before. April! Birthday month, and I developed some of my ocs further as well as winning first place in a small art contest. The art shows Hyena, my winning entry featuring my goddess character. May was the month I got covid. The art was done while being sick lmao. I also took the chance to work more on my novel Of Stars and Sights, pushing the word count to around 20k. I opened art requests to a few of my friends for the first time in June, and did three requests (my proudest shown left). This was also the month when I learnt that shadow colours should not be black and also blending modes exist. JULY ARTFIGHT MONTH. Nothing much to say here, I got 800% more productive and also tried out a bunch of new styles such as digital watercolouring! This was also the month when I learnt how to light hair gloss, use the selection tool to colour, use rough lineart, use textures, and fit more than two characters in the same canvas. Artfight was a real leap for my skills <3 I had more or less a break in August (I suffered from severe burnout), though I did take the time to finish an art request for a friend. Not that proud, but still ':) I experimented with lighting and shadows a bit during September, though I was mostly busy getting accustomed to high school. October was a depressive time for me and I will not elaborate :') My mental health is better now though! I took some time finishing a few owed art in November. I also took a bit of inspiration from SamDoesArts in my lighting and texture usage! hopefully it shows in my work <3 I offered for an ota, hosted a raffle, and finished a design trade for the first times in December! My main goal during this month was to get better at colour theory and anatomy, and I'd say that I've definitely improved >:D ---- Programmes: ibisPaint, Procreate, and Moldiv
