He's so cool looking lol (credit to -cafecat- for the character design) I had a lot of fun drawing this! I was having trouble with the backgrounds so I ended up following a James Julier tutorial (would highly recommend, by the way) Also, happy 2024 :0 Character Bio: Toast | ♂ | cat Toast meandered around the snow-covered plains dotted with the occasional pine tree. Glancing up at the glittering stars above, he thought he saw a shooting star racing across the sky. He kept walking through the plains, noticing how his warm paws, flickering with red flames, melted the snow beneath him. He wasn't going anywhere particular, content with wandering through beautiful yet uninviting snowy fields, devoid of any other animals. Watching sparks flicker from the pan looped around his neck, he reminisced about the year gone by. A year filled with long nights, traveling from house to house and sharing his cooking with other animals. He became familiar with many animals during his travels. Among his favorites: a strict but lovable wolf named Fang, a scheming rabbit named [idk], and a goose who shared with Toast some of her own delicious pea soup. He knew lots of people, yes—but at the same time, he couldn’t shake the nagging feeling that he didn’t really *know* anyone. That he didn’t have any friends. On a bitter night like tonight, that pang in his chest was all the more noticeable. Toast was never bothered much by the cold; his fiery paws, cooking pan, and coat kept him as warm as could be. And yet none of these things could provide heat to his heart, which was left freezing in the cold winter air. (Sorry I didn't mean for this to turn angsty lol, I’ll try to write more later)
