☆ Backstory ☆ Clover was part of the cat scouts, which meant he delivered things to the local people of the town which he lived in. He was an urban cat, meaning he spend most, if not all of his time working for the cat scouts around the city. One day, when clover arrived at the scouts, his newest task was to deliver newspapers, so he set off on his mission. Only the Emerald cats were allowed to deliver newspapers, and this was Clover’s fist time doing it!! He just graduated from the Sapphires and he was super excited to meet new friends! 'Hi!' Said Clover excitedly, but the rest of the cats just stared at him then exchanged confused looks. They all looked back at Clover, slightly disgusted at the newbie then turned back round to their friends, whispering and gossiping about him. Clover’s giant grin slowly faded as he realised that nobody had come over to greet him. ‘I’m sure somebody will want to be friends with me…'he whispered quietly to himself, but nobody did. 2 hours later… Clover was eating his lunch all by himself, everyone else laughing and chatting altogether. Nobody wanted Clover near them, as he wasn’t as 'cool' as the other cats and was deemed as 'childish' instead. He was different to everyone else, and nobody liked him. 'Everybody get into pairs! We’re going to deliver newspapers!' Said the scout leader, Nori. Everyone cheered and immediately paired up with their best friends. Clover was super hyped up too, he ran around trying to find a pair, but everyone was already paired up with another cat. Soon, Clover was the last cat left, and nobody wanted him in a trio so he decided to work alone, ‘I’m sure it’ll still be fun,' he reassured himself. He ran down the wet streets of Berry Lane, throwing newspapers into letterboxes and doorsteps. It was fun at first, having something new to do, it was different to the Sapphires, but he soon became lonely once again. He slowed down to a stroll, the beaming sun warming his fuzzy face. Then suddenly, a strong breeze whirled past, and one of his newspapers blew away to the other side of the road! 'Oh no!' He thought. He quickly remembered how to cross the road safely, the Sapphire’s scout leader had taught them! So after looking both ways, left and right, he walked across the road and spotted the newspaper. It was caught in a tree, caught in the vibrant, green leaves. Clover ran over to it, but when he tried jumping up it, he couldn’t quite reach. 'I’ve got to climb,' he thought. As he climbed up the tree, he looked down. BIG mistake. Clover felt himself falling and falling until he hit the grassy floor with a loud BANG! 'Ouch,' he cried softly as he leaned against the tree, obviously giving up. 'I just can’t do it! I’m hopeless!' Then, a little robin came flying out of the tree. 'Hello!' It said. Clover was happy to see another living creature actually talk to him, so he greeted the bird back. The little robin carefully weaved the newspaper out of the branches and flew down, settling next to Clover. 'You want this?' He chirped. 'Oh! Thank you so much kind bird!' Clover said, perking up again. 'You know,' The robin spoke, ‘I’ve been watching you, and I don’t think it’s fair those other stuck up cats won’t even interact with you, and I’ve been thinking, how about you escape the feeling of loneliness and come with me! I can be your best friend! You can come back to the scouts anytime you like, but first, let’s write a letter to say that you’ll be away for a while,' 'REALLY??!!?! Thank you so so SO much!!! You’re so kind!!' Clover said. He picked up a pen and paper and put together a quick letter, then the little robin picked the letter up and got ready to send it to the Emerald’s leader. 'I think I’ll call you Crimson!' Clover said happily as the feathered bird nodded and set off into the bright, blue sky. And after that Clover never felt lonely again. He had Crimson after all! 'Freedom, huh?' Clover spoke, 'I like it.' ☆ END ☆
