Lexus Lovegood: A Bonus Chapter

July 2nd, 1995 A party was being hosted in the Lovegood household. Xenophilius Lovegood had just won big money from the recent Quibbler entry, and him and the Quibbler employees were celebrating their victory. Lexus Lovegood was up in her room, away from all the loud sounds and chatter that was happening below. She didn't really understand the Quibbler that much, so why should she celebrate? But little did anyone know, Lexus used this party to her advantage. See, she overheard some classmates talking about how the underage wizardry laws were unfair. Then, one student told the other that if there were a lot of witches and wizards in one place, the Ministry couldn't detect the underage wizard/witches sorcery. So Lexus got to work. First, she got a bag out of the bottom drawer of her dresser. The bag had different colored stripes, and was made out of yarn. It was an 11th birthday gift from her younger sister, Chrysanthemum. She opened the bag and cast an extension charm on the multicolored bag. Then she gathered stuff around her room. She gathered all her clothes, drawing supplies, random knick knacks, school supplies, and everything else around her bedroom. She even put her trunk into the bag! She stuffed a bag of coins in her messenger bag, tied her bag with everything in it, boarded her Firebolt, and took off into the sky. She knew exactly where she was going. After a few hours of flying in the clouds, she had finally reached London. But she still had some ways to go. But after another hour, she finally reached her destination. Number 12 Grimmauld Place. Hair knotted, and clothes wrinkled, she knocked on the door. The door opened, and standing behind it was the one and only Sirius Black. "Lexi?" he asked, with a confused look on his face. He looked Lexus up and down and said, "Come inside." He smiled at her, and led her into the house. They sat down inside the living room. "What brings you here?" he asked her. She flitted her eyes to the fireplace. But telling by the look on her face, Sirius figured it out. "You've come to live with me, huh?" His face lit up. "I've been waiting for this day since I met you that night." He pulled out some papers for inside the couch cushion, then got out a pen. Lexus was surprised and amazed at the same time. She didn't even think that was possible. But anything is possible in the wizarding world, so why should Lexus be surprised? Lexus was also wondering why some papers were in his couch cushion. But that didn't matter at the time. "What are those?" she said, pointing at the papers. Sirius's smile got even bigger. "These, are what Muggles call, 'adoption papers'." He handed Lexus the papers. "I'm adopting you!" Lexus's jaw dropped. She was literally speechless. She smiled, signed the papers wherever she needed to, and bear hugged Sirius. "Thank you." she whispered in his ear. They stayed like that for a few minutes, and broke apart. Then Lexus broke the silence. "But why would you adopt me, of all the kids you could have probably chosen?" Sirius replied immediately. "I've always wanted a child. But since I've never married or anything, I couldn't have one. Until you appeared. I had hope that you can finally be the child I've always desired. Also, family outcasts always help fellow family outcasts." He hinted towards Lexus being the only Gryffindor in a family of Ravenclaws, and Sirius being the only Gryffindor in a family of Slytherins. But then their happy moment shattered as witches and wizards entered the house for a meeting with the Order of the Phoenix. Though Lexus obviously didn't know that. How could she? Anyways, Lexus was amazed at how many witches and wizards were there. But she wanted to know why. "Sirius," she started. "why are all of these witches and wizards here?" Everyone stopped at the sound of her somewhat dreamy voice. "Who is that?" a girl said. She had pink, spiky hair, and looked like she was in her early 20s. Then the Weasley clan entered. They all had identical orange hair and many, many freckles. They spotted Lexus, and ran over to give her a big bear hug. Mrs. Weasley patted Lexus's cheeks and smiled at her. "I'll go get dinner started, okay?" "Okay, but how-" Mrs. Weasley dashed into the kitchen before Lexus could finish. How was she so calm with Lexus being there. Unless...she was on the whole 'adoption' act too! All of the other Weasleys greeted her happily as well, so that was a plus. Lexus already felt at home.
