Fear drains your bravery, which is needed to perform scary actions. Energy is needed to perform most actions, but it is normally not needed for small actions. Adrenaline keeps energy up, but it comes from fear and pain. Pain drains energy and bravery. Asset likability reduces the chance of the "Asset" attacking, and increases the chance of the asset simply snapping at you instead of trying to hurt you if it does attack. Shock drains bravery and energy, and comes from pain. It can also come from getting scared or seeing something horrible. Shock increases fear greatly, and briefly sets bravery to zero.
