Hello everyone! Welcome to the Co-Host Applications for the May 2024 session of Camp Galatians! ✞ Information ✞ To make camp as successful as possible, we’re looking for two people interested in co-hosting camp with us. These people should be fairly comfortable leading and have had a bit of experience leading in person and on scratch, if you’re interested, fill out this application in a remix! We ask you read through the entire FAQ (which can be found in the notes and credits section of this project) as it contains important information you need to know ✞ Credits ✞ - SWC and other camps for the inspiration - @kenziethebookworm and @Piper_Camps for hosting this session - Slides: Me (@Piper_Camps) and @kenziethebookworm on Canva - Song: House of the Lord :: Phil Wickham - All of you for being interested in Co-Hosting in leading this session! <3 - FAQ heavily inspired by SWC
✞ FAQ ✞ 1. What is Camp Galatians? Camp Galatians is a new Christian Scratch camp focused on helping scratchers grow in their relationship with God and grow in their faith! When you sign up, you set a minute goal for yourself and throughout the month you work towards meeting that minute goal by going to church, bible study, youth group, volunteering at church, praying, reading your Bible, etc. There are daily and weekly challenges that are designed to help you grow closer to God throughout the month! 2. What responsibilities does a Co-Host have? - Maintaining a healthy balance between Camp Galatians and real life and encouraging the same for campers - Answering questions and concerns regarding Camp Galatians IF they are confident in their answer - Helping Piper and Kenzie with planning all of the cabins, dailies, weeklies, and other activities for Camp Galatians - Being willing to (co)lead a cabin should the need arise (if you co-lead you will need to oversee the development and leadership of a cabin with another person) - Participating in either the Daily Team (creating dailies and weeklies) or the Memory Book Team (working on the memory book for the end of the session). More info will be given to chosen Co-Hosts 3. When is my co-host application due? 11:59pm UTC on January 25th 4. When will co-hosts be chosen? After leader apps close, Kenzie, and I will be discussing Co-Host choices and we will comment on this project once a decision has been made. 5. What is the difference between Hosts and Co-Hosts? In short, Hosts have more responsibility that Co-Hosts. They are 'in charge' of the camp and the main cabin, which could potentially mean making more decisions, especially regarding theming and early development of things. The Hosts assume the role of the delegator in that they have the ability to delegate any tasks regarding the activities to both their co-hosts and themselves. They ensure equity in terms of tasks within their own cabin. 6. When are leader/camper apps out? Leader apps will be out on March 1st, 2024 at 12am UTC on ’s profile Camper apps will be out on April 1st, 2024 at 12am UTC on ’s profile If you would like to be pinged for either of these (leader apps or camper apps) leave a comment below and we’ll make sure to let you know when they’re out! By applying to be Co-Host, you agree that in the event that you have to go inactive, you let the hosts know, transfer studio ownership and take any other necessary actions. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask them in the comments below <3
