For people who don't want to read a mini-essay in the Notes and Credits, to sum up, I'm changing my art style on Scratch to fit more with my art style when I draw on paper. Hopefully you like it, and please give me some feedback down below!
First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR PEOPLE! Second, since it's a new year, one of my resolutions was to get better at animating, and I realized that even though it's already kind of cemented as my style, the glorified stick figure look is also kind of generic, and also hard to make expressions with. I know because I made a few projects to try and make actual emotions and expressions, and they all failed miserably. Also, surprisingly for some, my style with animation is different from my style of drawing on pencil and paper, which is too bad, because I feel like my on-paper art style is much better. Why am I explaining all this? Because for all the reasons I said above, I might or might not merge my two styles into one for animation, just to add that extra layer of personality and expressiveness. (And also to not look like literally every other animation style on Scratch....that's another reason I'm changing it.) The next few animations I release will still have my old style, since they're already being made and going great and I really don't want to reanimate them all, but coming soon I will likely change to this. If you have any feedback, I'm happy to hear it, so please give me your opinions on this in the comments. I'm very happy to finally have some similarities between my styles and have the extra expressiveness that comes with this one. All art by me Music is "Rooftop Run - Day" from Sonic Unleashed TOP SECRET: Really, I only changed the head, but since that's one of the most noticeable things about my style, I figured I'd make a project about it.
