The G-Shield runs off of a stars gravitational power instead of the solar energy it gives off. By harnessing it's gravitational pull it means the shield is infinity more efficient since the only way to "use up" gravity is if the mass of the object itself changes. Gravity is a constant and therefore to overcome gravitational force you would need a great amount of energy, energy that you would need for fighting or operating a ship at all. And even by using enough force to break though it is only momentary and so only one ship at a time would get through. This shield is also the size of how ever much pull the star has, so the entire solar system is fully protected, and if this was used on a massie spaceship the G-Shield would work due to the ship's own gravity. Experiments with using the G-Shield on black holes is ongoing, but for now the G-Shield is installed on all important solar systems.
