________________*Chapter*11*_________________ Harley was in the library. She had stolen Harry's cloak of invisibility, and was sneaking into the Restricted Section. Harley had a theory, and she wanted to make sure it was correct. Harley took a deep breath. "Here goes nothing." she said to herself. Then she slipped into the Restricted Section. Harley found the books she was looking for and started reading. She was fascinated by them, proving what she had inferred was correct. About what that three-headed dog was guarding. She had been working out her theory for weeks, hoping she was getting somewhere. Harley was also trying to research something else. Something forbidden. Something only she and a few others know about. But then she heard something strange. A cat meowing, and there was a figure right next to it. She gulped, then looked up from the books. "H-hello, Mr. Filch," she stuttered, with a scared look on her pale face. She was grabbed by the collar and dragged to Professor Snape's office. When they got there, Filch knocked on the door. "Come in." an annoyed voice called from inside the room. The two of them entered. "Caught this one in the Restricted Section, Severus," Mr. Filch snarled. Snape had a stony cold expression on his face, telling her that they'll discuss this later. "I'd suggest detention." "Fine." Snape said. "20 points from Slytherin, and detention Miss Potter." Harley gulped. A detention? She heard from other students that getting detention was the absolute worst. "I'll leave the girl to you, Severus." Filch let go of her collar and left the room. "What do you think you were doing, Harley?" He half-yelled it. "I-I needed more info about you-know-what," His expression softened. Tear spilled from Harley's eyes. He went over to her and gave her a hug as Harley sobbed into his robes. He wiped off her tears and sent her to the dorms. The next morning, as the schedules were being handed out, Harley got a note of what and where the detention would be. She stuffed it in her bag and headed to her first class, Transfiguration. She liked Transfiguration, because she was one of the only ones that was good at it. Well, she was good at every subject, but that was besides the point. Anyway, McGonagall saw that Harley was a bit off today, like her brain wasn't in her head. This lasted the whole day until 8 o' clock, when Harley's detention started. She met Filch at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. "Isn't this against the rules? Children shouldn't be in the Forbidden Forest. It's called 'forbidden' for a reason," Harley ranted. Hagrid came out of his hut with a crossbow and a quiver of arrows strung on his back. Harley gulped. If Hagrid had a weapon, then this was going to be a dangerous night. But there was someone else with him. A Slytherin girl with wavy brown hair and hazel eyes. At least I'll have some subtle company, Harley thought. As Harley, the Slytherin girl, and Hagrid entered the forest, the many ways that Harley can die ran through her head. Drowning, being impaled, and so much more. But the Slytherin girl interrupted her thoughts. "Hi. I'm Skylar. Skylar Night. But everyone just calls me Skye." "Harley Potter," Harley answered. "It's very nice to meet you." Skye didn't react to the name "Potter". She just treated Harley like a normal kid. "All right ye two,' said Hagrid finally. "Unicorns have been getting killed left and right, and we're here to investigate. Harley Skye, and Fang, you go that way," he gestured to the left, "and I'll go this way," he gestured to the right. They got Fang to look after them, so they ventured into the forest. Skye and Harley got to know each other while they were walking. But then Harley heard something, and whipped her head in that direction. She heard the sound of a dying horse(which was a unicorn), and ran in that direction. "Harley, wait up!" Skye yelled, running after her. Fang pranced behind the two girls. But they saw something. A cloaked figure hunched forward over a dead unicorn, crunching on it. Harley's scar did something it never did. It hurt. She held her scar in pain as the cloak figure approached the two girls. The girls turned and ran from the scene. They met back up with Hagrid, as the detention was over. And Harley was thankful with that. She didn't want to stay in that forest for another minute. Credits to... J.K Rowling /
