I laid my head on Doreen's shoulder. I started feeling a little better. But I was still stuck on how she knew. But she seemed clueless when I asked how she knew. Maybe she just blurted out something. Besides, how would she know anyway? I wiped my tears. "Thank you Doreen," I raised my head up from her shoulder. Doreen nodded and got up. "Anyways," she stood and cleared her throat. "I better get going, I have to finish this wing of the academy" with that, she dusted off her designer jeans and walked towards the door. She had just put her hand on the handle when someone threw their fist at the door and slammed it loudly. Doreen practically bounced back. "It's out to get me!" she screamed. I saw Brooklynn let out a small chuckle. then she said, " No one is gonna get you Drama Queen, That's probably Marc" Brooklynn trotted up to the door. Doreen clung to me and whispered, "Who's Marc?" I rolled my eyes. "You weren't there when Doreen introduced him- well she didn't introduce him fully, just partly, but he's supposed to clean up our room," I explained. Doreen loosened her grip and shot her head up. "Why couldn't you clean it yourselves?" she asked, cocking her head. I was pretty surprised to hear that. Wasn't she like... a princess? Does she not have maids clean her room? I didn't have an answer, I didn't want her to think i'm LAZY, so I just said; "I'm tired and feel like i'm dying, I can't clean right now" It was lame but it did the trick. Doreen believed it.
