Week: 4 Genre: Western Prompt: A matriarch leads a revolution against invaders. ~ They’re here again. With their bodies that shine like the sun, and their sticks that spout thunder and fire wherever they go. They were gone in a flash, taking only what they needed, but not without hurting those who got in their way. They are the greatest enemies of the tribe. Warriors have assembled under her rule to plot against them and form a strategy. They wear their crest proudly on the arm, just as the strangers wear theirs. Her lineage, her family made her who she is. She is not queen nor princess, but chief. Other tribes call her a witch, but her people know that she was once so kind as to be an angel from the gods. Her mother had raised her to be a leader from birth against her fathers wishes. Now a strong woman, she still remembers the day that they took everything away from her. It was only a few days after her twelfth sun-cycle. Bang! Boom! Crack! Bam! Fire reigned that day and she mourned the loss of her family, her friends. She met her tribe the next day as the first female chief in the history of her people. But now the plan was set. They would attack in the full moon’s light before the new-comers woke the next day. They may have defeated her today, and they may have defeated her in the past, but she will have destroyed them by sunrise.
Heyyyyyy. So this story is inspired by the Disney Pocahontas movie, but different. The description of the invaders is straight from that movie lol. It's supposed to be kinda like when Europeans came to North America for the first time. Also, the word matriarch means a woman who is the head of a family or tribe. As I was writing this, I was a tad bit worried this story might offend someone, but Unipuppy is really the only one who reads these, but I'll say it anyway, this story is not meant to be offensive to anyone in anyway :)
