☆ Welcome! Step into Amaru's memory lane, where the tales of the past and the aftermath of the Reaping intertwine, with a focus on the moments that came before. ☆ ``I was wrong to say I love you...`` He couldn't bear this any longer. He had reached his limit. If Amaru continued down this path of manipulation and deceit, he might never be able to feel love again. And so, there he stood. Outside his door, drenched in the pouring rain of midnight. Amaru gently tapped on the door with his paws, taking a deep, slow breath. "Pasha," his voice was raspy, "Pasha, please open the door. Now." He demanded, yearning to make his own choices and live his own life. If Pasha didn't open that door, Amaru would vanish without a trace, without a single word of his departure. He should have done this months ago. After what felt like an eternity, the door finally creaked open. "Amaru?" Pasha's voice dripped with venom and charm, causing Amaru to hesitate for a moment. Amaru furrowed his brow and scowled. "I'm done. Done with you, done with this whole act of yours!" He howled, a mix of anger and sorrow in his voice. "Oh, my dear Amaru. But can't you see? You're nothing without-" Before Pasha could finish his sentence, Amaru struck him with his claws, leaving a scratch on his nose. Pasha stared at him, a mix of surprise and venom in his eyes. "I said I'm done," Amaru croaked, tears blending with the rain on his face. It was hardly noticeable. "Don't you dare try to hold me back." Amaru narrowed his eyes before turning away. "I was wrong to say love you." Those were the last words he spoke to Pasha. ☆ ``I promise Kleio.`` (Reaping day) Kleio and Amaru shared a bond that was stronger than anything. They were like family to each other, always there to support and love one another. But the day had come when they had to say goodbye. Kleio was filled with sadness, but Amaru's heart was even heavier. He had to leave behind the person who meant the world to him, the one who had always been there for him in times of fear and sadness. She was like a little sister to him, someone he cared for deeply, like an older brother or a father. With tears streaming down his face, Amaru spoke to Kleio, refusing to step onto the stage until he had expressed his feelings. "Kleio," he choked out, "you are everything to me. I love you so much. Even if we may never see each other again, please know that I will always be watching over you." Kleio sobbed, begging him not to leave. Amaru's ears drooped, but he knew he had no choice. He held her tightly, trying to comfort her, but his own tears couldn't be stopped. It was agonizing to part ways with his beloved Kleio. "You mean the world to me," he whispered hoarsely. Kleio, her voice soft and filled with tears, asked him to promise that he would win and come back to her. Amaru hesitated, knowing deep down that he would never be able to keep that promise. But he couldn't bear to see her heartbroken. "I promise, Kleio," he lied through his tears, feeling the weight of his words. And with a heavy heart, he stepped onto the stage, stealing one last glance at Kleio's devastated figure as the train pulled away. ☆ ``It was just a dream.`` As he settled in the meadow, a meadow filled with beautiful flowers, his heart swelled with joy. The fragrances of lavender, roses, and marigolds danced in the air, each one unique and captivating. The hues of blue painted a picturesque scene. Amaru took his time, savoring the aroma of each blossom, basking in the warm embrace of the sun. This place felt like paradise, a sanctuary where he could truly be himself. It felt like home, a place he longed to belong. Suddenly, he was jolted awake, his heart pounding. He hastily sat up, trying to catch his breath. His eyes scanned the room, landing on the blue sheets. A wave of sadness washed over him, and he whispered to himself, "It was only a dream."
