「 intro 」 ⌗ this training guide includes all the things that sunspotflare hopes to cover during his moons mentoring harpypaw. ⌗ sunny is a rather gentle tom and would try his best to make harpy's apprenticeship as stress-free as possible, since he himself as a PhD in worrying and overthinking. ⌗ will completely follow rules and though not forcing it on his apprentice, will encourage her to follow said rules. ⌗ he will also be training harpy as a tunneller apprentice as well ^^ ⌗ sunspotflare may drop some small questions/quizzes every now and then to make sure that she's understanding what he's teaching ⌗ sunny will most definitely take harpy to watch birds. bird-watching is a strong passion of his and he would enjoy sharing his interest with his apprentice at least once just for fun. depending on whether they enjoyed it then he might do it again. otherwise he will still probably chatter on about his beloved winged creatures throughout training. 「 moon 1 ;; introductions + tours + safety 」 ⌗ sunspotflare will introduce himself to his apprentice and get to know them. ⌗ briefly cover his goals for harpy's training and the different things she will be learning over the next few moons. ⌗ explore windclan's territory and the different borders they share. ⌗ briefly show her around windclan's underground tunnels. ⌗ explain basic safety rules such as the risks of (and prevention of being hurt during) tunneling, when to stay inside camp, and literally every other scenario that could give you the slightest chance of getting a scratch and how to stay alive in them. 「 moon 2 ;; ceremonies + tunnelling overview 」 ⌗ give a run-through of what happens during different ceremonies and what you should do in them ⌗ teaching harpypaw about the different types of prey windclan has and where they can be found. ⌗ also telling them about predators and which areas to avoid in order to minimalize the chance of getting attacked by one. ⌗ an overview of tunnelling, including their structure, basics on how to dig efficiently, techniques, etc. 「 moon 3 ;; hunting + warrior code 」 ⌗ sunny will begin teaching harpypaw how to hunt, giving tips on which ways are more efficient and how some prey are harder to catch than others. ⌗ he will begin explaining the warrior code + other rules, and how they are encouraged to be followed. ⌗ what to do in different tricky scenarios, such as encountering someone trespassing on territory, being attacked by a predator, etc. 「 moon 4 ;; fighting + hunting + tunnelling 」 ⌗ by now sunny will have began teaching harpypaw how to fight, but will mostly refer to it as 'self-defense'. he will run through the most useful techniques and when to use each of them, despite not being fond of fighting himself. ⌗ continue tunnelling training ⌗ continue hunting techniques 「 moon 5 ;; conclusions + celebratory field trip 」 ⌗ during this moon, sunspotflare will start concluding the different important skills his apprentice has learned, such as hunting, fighting, and tunnelling. he will make sure they are confident in these and will give any last tips or last-minute training in them. ⌗ he will review rules and make sure she is aware of them and the major locations in windclan territory. ⌗ as their time training together will be soon coming to an end, sunny will allow harpypaw a trip of her choice anywhere in the territory (as long as its safe) and basically let them have some fun (as long as its safe) and will chatter on about birds and all the things he likes about that chosen area and how great they've done over the past few moons. 「 moon 6 ;; warrior ceremony + celebration 」 ⌗ panicky last-minute overview on everything that he has taught her in the last couple of moons. ⌗ finally, harpypaw will have their warrior assessment followed by lots of celebration. ⌗ proud sunny, happy harpy :)
