CHAPTER 6 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Link~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Monday, as Link walked through the halls during his free period, he saw a poster for a school dance coming up on Friday. "I wonder if Zelda will want to go with me?" Link wondered. He went to the library, where he was meeting Zelda. He walked over to the table she was sitting at and sat down himself. "How are you doing, Princess?" Zelda smiled upon hearing the nickname Link gave to her over the weekend. (Note. Does anyone else see the dramatic foreshadowing when combined with the title?) "I'm fine. How are you?" Zelda replied while focusing on her math work. "I'm fine. Hey, have you seen this?" Link showed her a picture of the poster he saw earlier. "No. I haven't." Zelda said looking up. "What about it?" She said it with a look in her eye that told Link she knew exactly what he was asking. "Zelda." Began Link. "Do you want to go to the dance with me?" "Yes." Zelda replied smiling. "When should I pick you up?" Asked Link. "Hm, if the dance starts at 6:30 pm, maybe, 6:15?" "Sure!" Link said with a sparkle in his eyes. "Now, how's that math work of yours coming along?" CHAPTER 7 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Zelda~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was the night of the school dance, and Zelda was putting on her most beautiful dress. A midnight blue dress with silent princesses dotting it. She wore a golden triforce necklace, white gloves with gold lining, high heels, and a small golden bracelet. When she put it on, she smiled. Link had given it to her a day earlier, on their second date. She smiles at the memory of that night and laughs. She then looks in her mirror. Zelda considers using makeup, but decides not to. "Never have been one for makeup, have you?" asks her dad as he walks in. "No. I prefer for people to see me as I truly am." Zelda replies. "A good policy." Her dad nods. "When is Link picking you up?" "6:15." Zelda checks the clock. "He's late." It was 6:16. "Ha! Give him a minute or two to spare, Zelda." DING DONG! went the doorbell. "Link's here!" Zelda exclaimed. She ran downstairs and opened the door. There was Link. "Hey, princess." Link said smiling. Zelda noticed he was hiding something behind his back. As she opened her mouth to speak. Link pulled out a bouquet of silent princess's. Zelda gasped. Link held out the flowers and smiled sheepishly as he said "These are for you." "I. I. I love them! Thank you Link!" She leans forward and gives him a peck on the cheek. "Are you ready for the dance?" Link asked. "Yes." Zelda replied. "Well then, let's be off." Zelda smiled and called to her dad "Bye dad! I'll be back around midnight!" And then she hopped in Link's car and they drove off to the school. (Link just recently got his license.) CHAPTER 8 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Zelda/Link~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the dance, Link briefly talked with Sidon, wishing him and Yona luck in their new relationship. He then walked onto the dance floor with Zelda and they danced to every song.When there was a break in the dancing, they went and grabbed some refreshments. Then, they went back to dancing. Link smiles at Zelda when he hears a song come on. Zelda gasps."Is this?" she doesn't finish. SHe doesn't have to. Link knows what she means. "Yup. I specifficaly asked the Dj to play it." It was a slow song that had been playing when they shared their first kiss. When the song ended, Link leaned down and kissed Zelda. She smiled when he pulled away after a moment. Another song started playing. Revali came and asked "May I have this dance?" Zelda looked at Link and he nodded. Link watches as Revali and Zelda walk onto the dance floor. He shrugs and walks over to Mipha. "Hey Mipha, would you like to dance?" He asks. She smiles. "Sure, but just for this song." A little while later, a huge gasp runs through the crowd. Link turns and sees Zelda pulling sharply away from Revali. "What the?" Link mumbles. "I see you in a minute, Mipha." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Zelda~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Zelda looks at Revali with eyes full of disgust. Link walks up and places his hand on her shoulder. "What's going on?" Link asks. "He, he, he just." Zelda tried to say, pointing at Revali. A murmur runs through the crowd. Sidon steps. "Uh, Link. Revali just, um, kissed Zelda." The last part was a whisper. Link's eyes grew wide, then narrowed. "He did WHAT!?!" Link growled, looking at Revali. "You kissed my girlfriend?" his voice going deadly soft. Revali's face went from scared to confused. "Your girlfriend?" "Yes, Revali." Said Link. "But I thought you were dating Mipha?" "Who," before Link could finish, Zelda whirled on him. "You've been cheating on me?!? How could you?" Her eyes welled up with tears. "Zelda, wait." "No! I don't want to hear it. I actually thought you liked me! Those dates, the flowers! Did they really mean ANYTHING!?!?"
