WHO WAS CRUEL ENOUGH TO PUT ASH WEDNESDAY ON VALENTINE'S DAY!? --- Now that I've got that out of the way, I speak for all the Catholic girls who gave up candy for Lent that this is incredibly unfair >=( --- Happy Valentine's day Ash Wednesday everyone!!!!! --- Help this makes me look depressed I swear I'm not lol --- Also, I still can't access profile comments so I'm reading any messages sent to me on a profile through the message previews, I just can't answer them. My school computer won't let me access profile comments(all they do is try to load, no matter how long I leave it up), and I no longer have a computer that can access it. --- If you don't know about Ash Wednesday, it marks the start of Lent, or the 40 days that Jesus had to be without anything in the desert. Lent ends on Easter, when Jesus was resurrected from the dead. Most Catholics give up something for Lent, similar to how Jesus gave up EVERYTHING for those 40 days. As Catholics, the point of giving something up is to be a better person on Easter then you were on Ash Wednesday. On Ash Wednesday, Catholics put ashes on their foreheads in the shape of a cross. These ashes were made from the palms that were given out on Palm Sunday the Easter before. The Ash Wednesday mass is beautiful and I highly recommend it! --- I managed to teach my dog wait in like 15 minutes...my other dog is too stubborn to wait lol Oh and don't worry no one offered me candy </3
