If you found this game before you found the Dnd Character Maker, go check that out first. Rules of spells: Spellcasting ability: Wizards' spellcasting ability is Intelligence. Bards' spellcasting ability is Charisma. Spell components: V=verbal(You must be able to speak to cast this spell) S=somatic(You must be able to use your hands to cast this spell) M=material(you must have the materials listed to cast this spell) If a spell requires a material component, you can use your spellcasting focus as the material instead of what is listed. Bards spellcasting focus = a musical instrument. Wizards spellcasting focus = a wand, staff, orb, or crystal. Cantrips can be used with almost no effort from the caster. These spells require no spell slots. A first level spell can only be used if you expend a spell slot. If you can't expend a spell slot, you cannot use the spell. If a creature must make a saving throw against your spell, the DC=10+your spellcasting ability modifier. If a spell requires you to make an attack roll, the attack bonus is 2+your spellcasting ability modifier. If a spell has the "ritual" tag, you can cast it without expending a spell slot, if you spend an additional ten minutes casting the spell. A spell with the "ritual" tag can still be cast as normal, but you will have to expend a spell slot.
