theory because i felt like it. okok so my theory is that Ace is the killer. and imma tell you why because no one asked. Ace has memory of fighting a shadowy figure, but he doesn't have any scratches or anything. Plus, whenever the shadowy figure shows up, both of his eyes turn to the lighter green instead of one dark green eye and one light green eye, and the shadowy figure has dark green eyes. It's also a bit suspicious that Ace's claw fit so perfectly into the claw mark in the crate when he and Ceris were investigating. I have a bit more evidence that it is Ace by ruling out some suspects: Moose- They're Ace's best friend. I highly doubt that someone would murder their best friend's sister. Also, Moose is around in Over Borders, which takes place after Queen's Mystery, and if they had been the killer then they would probably have been kicked out of the fair. Ceris- She's Ace's sidekick in the whole investigation thing. She's also alive in Over Borders. Queen herself- Moss-shadow would not have risked getting eaten by st for writing a murder mystery story that ends with the victim having committed self ded i might add more cats later if more evidence spawns.
