With climate change the oceans are beginning to rise and get warmer. With the rising sea the amazon river has flooded up to 6 meters and with hurricanes becoming more common that number is often more. With the wet season bringing in now up to 9000mm (9m) of rain, this now means that during the wet season the river has an average depth of around 65m (213 ft) and during the dry season has a depth of around 56m (183 ft). at the outer areas of the delta the water depth can get to around 115m (377 ft). Most countries in south america have agreed to stop logging the rainforest with the exception of Colombia.
