Quailpaw and Shadekit ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Disclaimer: Ack! Sorry about the poor image quality! I promise it didn't look like this when I *carefully* drew it! Please don't consider calling this art "bad." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Important: Just to clarify, Quailpaw is not a warrior, she is just tall. She is not a Dark Forest member, or else I would've made it more obvious. Shadekit is a Starclan cat. They are not in the Dark Forest. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Backstory: "Eat crowfood, fox-dung!" hissed Shadekit. A badger, four times his size glared. Not at him, but at a she-cat. "G-Get away from me, y-you, um, mouse-brain," stammered the she-cat. Her bright yellow-pale pelt darkened as the badger stood above her. Behind her, all the warriors of Thunderclan attacked the badger, distracting it. Even the deputy, Hazelheart, and the leader, Miststar, were clawing at it. Something didn't seem right, though. That's because we didn't start at the beginning, silly me! Okay, let me check my notes real fast... oh, right! It was a breezy time during the first day of Newleaf. All the cats were on patrol or resting in their dens. There wasn't a trouble in Thunderclan. It was perfect. There was even going to be a meeting at Highrock for the apprenticing (is that a word?) of two kits. Shadekit and Quailkit. Shadekit wasn't the sibling of Quailkit. Yet, they had a interesting relationship. For example, once, Goldenpaw was bullying Quailkit, since she became an apprentice at an early age of 3 moons. Shadekit jumped out of a bush and yowled, "YOU DARE SAY THAT TO QUAILKIT AND I? TRY PICKING TICKS OUT OF THE ELDER'S FUR INSTEAD OF PICKING A FIGHT WITH US!" Heh. I still remember the hilarious look on Goldenpaw's face. Anyways, right before the clan meeting, a shadow appeared near the apprentice den. Fate, right? Or not. A badger stalked the shadows. Unluckily, Shadekit went to the dens to talk to Autumnpaw, apprentice of Springroll. Hilarious! I promise that the cats didn't know about this delicious two-leg food. The badger snarled. "Who is there? Goldenpaw, is this one of your worthless pranks? You know I can report to your mentor, the leader, right?" The badger growled and jumped. He slashed at Shadekit's hind legs, narrowly missing. The badger's claws expertly sliced a tree branch, pinning Shadekit to the ground. Alerted by the noise, a cat yowled, "Badger outside the apprentice's den! Attacking Shadekit under a branch! Wait-Quailkit, get inside!" Autumnpaw picked Quailkit up by the muzzle and dashed to the nursery. She let Quailkit down, but Autumnpaw warned, "Don't go outside. Let Springroll and the others take care of the badger." Right when Autumnpaw spoke, the badger's claws rose, ready to attack a trapped, angry, Shadekit. "Leave the kit alone," growled a she-cat. "And take on a few somebodies who make up your own size." Miststar opened her eyes, revealing her deep aquamarine-blue eyes. She brought all the warriors of Thunderclan with her. Springroll, Ravenlight, Dovepelt, Adderheart, Nectarsong, Leopardblaze, and all the others were with her. The strongest cats, Leopardblaze, Whitestorm, and Adderheart released Shadekit, who was limping. The badger looked ready enough to strike them all down like they were bowling pins. TO BE CONTINUED...
