Hello! Today I will be explain my thoughts on s-pop. Keep in mind that these are my opinions and you don’t have to agree with them. So without further ado, let’s begin. Table of content: What is s-pop Anyone can join No one commits themselves Toxic people Faking voices Summary of everything (shortened)
First off, WHAT IS S-POP? S-pop is a k-pop community on scratch where basically anyone can become an idol, or even be part of groups. There are many s-pop ‘companies’ which are just accounts that basically make audition projects, make a form, and the scratchers with enough talent (sometimes) get to debut. I’ll explain why I said sometimes. DO I LIKE S-POP? I don’t hate it, I don’t love it. I like the idea of it, and I think it sounds fun. But there are so many negative things about s-pop that it kind of takes away from it. Which brings me to the next point… WHAT I DON’T LIKE ABOUT S-POP - anyone can join Now I know what you’re thinking, everyone can join, that’s a good thing… right? I suppose you’re right, BUT my problem is most s-pop companies let people with no singing talent join s-pop groups. Why do I have a problem with this? Even the s-pop idols with no talent get many followers, you see in the s-pop community talent doesnt matter. As long as you don’t lie about your identity you get 100s of followers by doing covers that take no effort whatsoever, and everyone will be saying ‘wow! You’re so amazing’ when you really aren’t. Also, if you’re in an s-pop group there’s a big chance that half of the members will not be able to sing well which may make the experience less fun for you. Of course, I don’t think this is everyone. A lot of people such as @haexrin_, @minalee- @kpink- @Jlee_official + many others are actually quite talented, but like 50% of the community can’t sing very well. WHY I DON’T LIKE S-POP - no one comits themselves If you’re in the s-pop community, you’ve probably seen s-pop companies complaining about how their group members are not comiting themselves and they never do their lines. This is honestly kind of unfair because the company it self does a lot more work than the actual idols. You’re not recording the whole song, so what is taking you so long? At the other sides, some companies don’t commit themselves. They do have an excuse, having an s-pop company is probably hard to run but sometimes they form a group with members who have auditioned, but they never debut. It’s like they want the members to figure it out, but honestly, you should be the one doing basically everything apart from the singing. Like cmon, I know it can take time to distribute the lines evenly to each member, but I don’t think you should practically abandon that group because of that. Also, 70% of the time survival shows get cancelled because the company decides to let everyone down. Like, 15 people were waiting for the survival show to start and you just cancel it? Like if you’re going to start a survival show, then ✨commit✨ yourself WHY I DONT LIKE S-POP - Toxic people Let’s call the toxic people, s.haters This one is going to be a bit shorter, because everyone knows what toxic people are. In the s-pop community, there’s often s.haters that basically go onto peoples profiles and tell them they’re really bad at singing. Sure, a lot of them need to improve, but not all thoughts have to be said. If you feel like someone is overrated, leave them be or make a project RESPECTFULLY and KINDLY mention why you think this person is overrated. WHY I DONT LIKE S-POP - Faking voices In this community, there is people stealing voices left and right. They usually do end up apologizing after they basically get cancelled in the s-pop community, but everyone just forgives them like nothing ever happened. Fraud is illegal yk… they often steal their voices by basically stealing all their covers and songs, making sure that their project isn’t remixed. And honestly, I think that these ppl are making s-pop not able to grow. Again, s-pop has a good plot, just not good execution. SUMMARY OF EVERYTHING (shortened) ANYONE CAN JOIN Although this seems like a good idea at first, it is very unfair to the people who actually have talent. People with no singing talent can just get 100s of followers as long as they aren’t stealing anyone’s voice. NO COMMITMENT A lot of s-pop idols never end up recording their lines which is very unfair to the rest of their group who has. Also, a lot of y-pop companies abandon groups and never debut + 70% of survival shows are cancelled because of no commitment. TOXIC PEOPLE toxic people in the spop community basically comment on peoples profiles that they’re really bad at singing, and although sometimes the idol sometimes does have to improve, they basically harass them in saying thst they have no talent. Although I did mention that a lot of people don’t have singing talent, I didn’t call out anyone in specific, nor did I call them horrible. FAKING VOICES People steal voices of other spop idols left and right, and when they do get caught, and everyone basically cancels them, they post an apology, and everyone forgives them like nothing ever happens. I feel like they are the main problem of how the spop community isn’t growing. These are just my opinions, so you don’t have to agree.
