Been a while since I've done a dtae- I changed the design slightly (mostly just added more markings and changed the shape of the horns) I hope that's alr -Bio- Name: Drift Species: Lynx Age: 1 y/o (equivalent to about 12 for a human) Personality: Curious, kind, a bit naive. Has a gentle heart. She's clumsy because of her huge paws and her horns are always snagging on things. -Backstory stuff- Drift was born near the end of winter. It was a litter of three kits and each of them were perfectly healthy, but there was something different about Drift, something strange: she had two tiny horns growing from her head. As soon as her mother realized this, she took her other kits and abandoned Drift to the mercy of the elements. Drift was barely big enough to survive when she found herself completely alone. It was a miracle she survived the winter. When spring came and the ice began to melt, things started to look up. Drift realized she had no taste for meat and instead preferred herbivore diet. She ate leaves and grass like many other woodland creatures, but she was never able to befriend any of them because they saw her as a predator. Other lynxes avoided her like the plague. Maybe because she had horns, maybe because she ate plants, or maybe because it was just in their nature. Drift was alive, but her life was lonely. Spring turned to summer. The sun grew warmer and the days grew longer. There were plenty of plants for her to eat, but she still couldn't find any animal that would be her friend. Then summer turned to autumn. The leaves started to fall as trees entered hibernation. Much of the plant life withered away until food was scarce, but Drift was still able to get by. Now that winter is approaching again, Drift is afraid. She barely survived her first winter. How could she possibly make it through this one? And that's it. I have some more ideas for Drift's story (possibly including some old characters of mine that never went anywhere), but I'm going to wait and see if I win her before I go any further. Really proud of all of this art. I also included a page of warm up sketches that I did to remind myself how to draw cats (because it's been so long since I've drawn any). Kinda crazy looking back at the last time I drew a cat in this style (which holy carp was almost two years ago) and seeing how different it is from now simply because of how much I've improved on art as a whole. Love that Does this mean I'm going to be active on scratch again? No clue -CREDITS- Art: me Design: Music: Send Me On My Way by Rusted Root
