When she was still a kit, she got separated from her parents (And Sibling), she and her parents are chased by dogs, when her mother tried to grab her sibling Obsidian, Obsidian slipped down a river and got carried away by the stream, Dawn was desparate at that time as the dog caught up to her parents (Which died because of the dogs), and her sibling Obsidian which she thought was dead (Because the river is a fast flowing river). She survived the dogs' attack by hiding inside a deep hole, after the day passed, the dogs gave up and go away, she went to sleep, the next day, she woke up in the morning and started walking straight pointlessly, eventually she found MoonClan and she got helped by Moonbeam. She was from a rogue family before she's rescued by Moonbeam, so she thought she will be bullied by the other cats since she's not a clanborn, but that didn't happen, the others treated her like a normal clanborn kit. She thought her whole family is dead, without knowing that her BFF Obsidianrain who she met during the Gatherings is actually her long-lost sibling, Obsidian.
