Personality: Despite his wolf-like appearance, Fenrir is as timid as a mouse. He doesn’t want to be, of course. He admires his father and his confidence so much, but he can never seem to mimic it. He wants to enjoy the trickery his father and his sisters get up to, he really does, and to an extent, he does. After all, all time that he spends with his family is wonderful for him. But he can’t help but worry that a cat might think less of him— or, gods, even hate him— due to a simple prank. He’s quick to overthink and thanks to his poor control of his emotions, it often leads to tears. But he’d rather cry than hold it all inside. He likes to be open with others on how he’s feeling, and if he can’t find the words to tell others, then he’ll show it in other ways. Fenni is a very friendly and open minded cat, and although occasionally he can be hesitant when first meeting someone, he warms up really quick! He’s quite trusting and gets very attached to cats if they’re kind to them, even if he doesn’t know them too well. It’s certainly not hard to be considered one of his best friends! Because of all this, though, he’s very easy to manipulate, and usually isn’t aware of it if it does happen to him. Even if he found out someone was using him, this wouldn’t necessarily ruin their relationship— he’s an extremely forgiving and understanding cat, and is always willing to give second chances. Fenrir is also a very physical cat when it comes to friends and family, and will lean on, brush against, etc. with cats he likes! He doesn’t ever think to ask for permission to do so, however, even though he probably should. It’s one of the main ways his surprising impulsivity shows through. Impulsiveness will always lead to mistakes, of course, and Fir doesn’t handle those well at all. He tends to shut down instead of trying to fix them, to caught up in his own guilt to do much else than cry and spew useless apologies. He freezes up in many situations, actually. If he’s confronted with aggression, if someone scares him, or if someone talks bad about him or a loved one in front of him. Overall, Fenrir tends to lean more towards inaction than action. He’s usually filled with indecisiveness— something that his impulsivity was developed to counter, in fact. And then there’s the possibility most glaring part of his personality: his fear. He’s jumpy. He’s soft spoken. He changes his opinions left and right in the hopes that those around him won’t reject him. He’s scared of so many things, of what lurks in the shadows, of rejection, of being alone. And, selfishly, he does everything he can to avoid these fears. He’s a good, kind, loving cat, but in the end, fear controls him, his actions, and his life.
