Update: Yall this is old. I might make a new one lol First of all, what is a therian? A therian is a person who identifies as an animal on a non-physical level. Therians often experience shifts in which they become more animal-like from time to time. Types of shifts: Phantom Shift: When you feel a limb of your theriotype that is not there (ex. tail, wings, fangs) Mental Shift: When you shift into the mindset of your theriotype, sometimes getting their instincts Sensory Shift: When you pay more attention to your senses, making you feel as though they have been heightened Cameo Shift: When you have any of the shifts above, but not of your theriotype. These can be confusing There are more, but I’m too tired to add them lmao Things I see a lot of: "Are therians furries?" No. Therians can be furries, but there's a difference. "Do you have to have gear to be a therian?" Nope! In fact, most therians own little to no gear. "Aren't therians z0os?' NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. "Can I choose/change my theriotype?" Only if you mistake it for another animal. You cannot choose your theriotype. "Can I have multiple theritoypes?" Yep! People with multiple theriotypes are known as polytherians.
