H̲o̲w̲ ̲t̲h̲e̲ ̲i̲l̲l̲u̲s̲i̲o̲n̲s̲ ̲w̲o̲r̲k̲ Squares A and B illusions - The squares look different colours but are in fact the same (press space to make it clearer). This works because the darker colours around square B make it look lighter. Static Ebbinghaus - The centre circles are the same size. This works on the same principal as above - the bigger circles around the circle on the left make it look bigger, and vice verse. Invisible circle - Stare at the red dot the the blue circle will *disappear*. This works by your eyes having blind spots and as everywhere else is white, your brain thinks that the space where the circle is must be white as well. The result? The circle disappears. Penrose triangle - This is an impossible object to make in 3D. It looks realistic but you simply couldn't build it in real life. Unless you look at certain shapes at certain angles of course. Or use Photoshop. Bar with shaded back ground - This is simply a shaded back ground with an also seemingly shaded rectangle on top of it. However, the rectangle in fact just one colour and just seems shaded because of the shaded rectangle behind it. Duck illusion - You blur your eyes and the ducks' heads seem to bob back and forth, when in fact they are simply moving at a constant speed across a series of black and white bars. Dynamic Ebbinghaus - This works on the same principal as the normal, still Ebbinghaus, but with a much greater effect. The circle in the middle seems to be growing and then shrinking again. However, it is actually staying the same size and it is all just an illusion. The favorite-this-project-illusion - This will amaze you. If you click the star and the heart images under the project, they will magically seem to change colour.
