Moonshine sat on the padded train seat, tapping her fingers on her knees. She stared out of the window, at the passing trees, and then around the compartment. There was no denying it, she was bored. And it had only been five minutes. “Um, excuse me?” The door to the compartment slid open, and someone stood in the door. Moonshine looked up. It was one of the girls from the station. Maggie? Was it? “Yeah?” Moonshine blinked. “Can I sit here? Everywhere else is full,” she smiled sheepishly. “Of course,” Maggie sat. They sat in silence for a few moments, until Moonshine finally said, “I’m Moonshine, Moonshine Griffith,” she tucked her hands inside her sleeves. “What about you?” “Margaret Cabanero,” she smiled. “But everyone calls me Maggie. I don’t really like Margaret” “You has a lot of sisters, back at the station,” “That was only two,” she grinned. “I have six others. Siblings, I mean.” “Six?!” “Yep,” Maggie held out her fingers, “Aaron, Annabelle, Samuel, Felix, me, Johnathon, Jason and Ruby. You saw Ruby and Anna back at the station. I’ve got Anna and my older brother and twin brother at the others don’t go to Hogwarts.” Moonshine nodded. “That’s cool, I’ve got...” she considered for a moment telling Maggie about her brother, but she had just met her, and this seemed too private. “I’m an only child.” She stood. “I’ll be right back, I just need the toilet.” Maggie nodded, and Moonshine stepped out of the compartment, and into the aisle. She walked up to the small toilet. A group of boys stood around the door, laughing and wolf-whistling. A boy came out, his cheeks slightly green. All the boys slapped him on the back, and he gave them a weak smile, whilst looking like he was trying not to vomit. Moonshine grimaced, and tried to sidle past them, but one of them grabbed her arm. She looked up into the whitest teeth she had ever seen. “Where are you going?” The boy asked. He was blonde, with blue eyes. His features looked familiar, but she couldn’t put her finger on it. “The toilet,” Moonshine shrugged his hand off her arm, but he held on tight. He flashed her his teeth, although it wasn’t a proper smile. His eyes looked alarmingly mad. “What’s your name,” he smiled again, and drew closer, so their noses were almost touching. “I’m Flick, Flick Cabanero.” “And I don’t care,” Moonshine shoved his hand off her arm, and turned back down the aisle. Suddenly, the puzzle pieces clicked together in her head. “Flick Cabanero,” “Margaret Cabanero,” “Felix,” “My twin brother,” Flick’s weirdly familiar features. That was it. Moonshine put a hand in a door handle to steady her. Flick was Maggie’s twin brother.
Previous: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/922651164 Next: not yet I kind of changed the format since the last chapter and I think I’m going to keep it like this. It’s just easier to write this way. Last chapter I wrote it on the backdrop of the actual project but I like it better like this. In the last chapter, her sister’s name was Ana, but I changed it to Anna in this one, in case you were confused. Please ask in the studio if you want to be a character in this.
