"Daggers? For a prop?" The stylist had questioned her extensively when she'd brought it up. Luckily, Maya could be quite persuasive when she actually put the effort in. She strutted toward the chariot that would take her through the parade, her golden armor clinking softly. Her stylist had insisted on putting her in white ruffles and a skirt- despite the fact that she wanted to look cool, and not like someone who had just stepped out of an old book. Though, she supposed the makeup was satisfactory- her usual smokey eye with flakes of gold dashed across her eyelids. They accented her deep brown eyes perfectly. Gold circle earrings hung from her ears, necklaces graced her chest, making the white ruffled shirt she wore more noticeable. The skirt hung off the back. Time to get the show on the road, she supposed, as she gracefully leapt up onto the chariot. She smiled, excitement had her shaking softly. Many cats in district ten knew her to be flashy, and that certainly was true. She was a showgirl at heart. Shame she would have to perform without Mira. She hoped her best friend did well. After all, she'd always been the one more willing to do the talking. She took a deep breath, willing the calm to drip into her body slowly like the holy nectar it was. It's golden shine filled her lungs and strengthened her legs. Her shaking stopped. She allowed herself to smirk just slightly. This would be fun. The curtains neared. Maya stood, pulling twin daggers from the ruffles in her shirt. She closed her eyes, pressing the daggers to her chest in an 'x' formation. The curtains parted, and she opened her eyes to mostly darkness. Green, pink, and blue lights flashed, a strange mix of colors, swirling and whirling around her. No matter- she needed no light anyway. Flicking a switch on her daggers, they flashed to life, shining brightly, overpowering everything else. She twirled the first one, which shone like the sun. The other glowed like the moon. Twirling them both, she began to dance, each step planned and thought out with great care. Her paws were swift and carried her with ease. The sun, and the moon, in harmony. Extensions of her, beautiful and bright. Graceful and deadly. Weaving and twirling, she spun, her skirt fanning out as she did so. One dagger flew from her paws, and the other followed. Both rose up, before twirling and arching downward. Maya continued to spin, before suddenly coming to a stop, and raising a paw. The daggers plummeted. The sun fell into her outstretched paw, the moon following soon behind, falling into her other paw. She braced her heel on the chariot, swirling the two as she did so, before taking off and plunging into the crowd. They parted for her, cheering as she danced for them. The daggers flew into the air once more as she blew kisses to the crowd. Her spinning drew to a close as she stopped quickly, pushing off with her paws, she flipped backwards and onto the chariot. Her paws shot up and caught both daggers. The crowd went wild. She closed her eyes, and crossed her paws, making an 'x' with the daggers once more. The parade drew to a close, the screams and shouts of the holograms fading as she was finally out of the public eye. (This is very low effort I'm sorry- my motivation to rp has just been non-existent. Hopefully it comes back soon :')
