Mary had a little lamb, but dark. tw bc dark You all know the story that Mary had a little lamb, with fleece as white as snow. In case you don't, here it is: "Mary had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb. Mary had a little lamb, it's fleece was white as snow. Everywhere that Mary went, Mary went, Mary went. Everywhere that Mary went the lamb was sure to go..." Although, what if I told you that... Mary never had a little lamb? It was all part of her imagination. We all know little kids. Wild imaginations and such. Mary's lamb never existed. Or did it? Everyone else played along, even though they couldn't see the lamb. Here's how the story went... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mary ran out her room for breakfast, like she does every morning. Her mom greeted her with a smile. "Hey there, Mary. Are you hungry?" Mary happily responded, "Yes, mom. What's for breakfast?" Mary's mother replied with the usual stuff she usually replies with. Mary all of a sudden said, "Mom, what is that little lamb doing out there?" Mary's mother looked outside the window Mary was looking out of. "What lamb? I don't see a lamb." Mary looked confused. "What do you mean, what lamb? It's right there. And it looks fluffyyy" Mary's mother didn't know what Mary was talking about, so she agreed. "Yes, fluffy lamb. Hurry up and eat so you can get to school." Mary listened to her mom, and she ate and went to school. She noticed the lamb followed her. "Hi, little lamb. What are you doing here?" She waited for the lamb's response. The response didn't come. "Don't talk much, huh? I'm going to school. Will you come with me?" Some more silence. "Yay! Thanks, little lamb!" Mary gets to school and noticed the lamb was still following her inside. "Oh, man. You know, little lamb, you can't just follow me inside... it's kind of against the rules. But... if you really want to..." She waited. "Okay, fine. I'll let you in." She walked in her classroom and then to her desk. The lamb sat next to her. Nobody payed attention to the lamb. Mary thought maybe she got away with it. But Mary was a good kid... she didn't want to get in any trouble. She raised her hand. "Yes, Mary?" The teacher called on her. Mary said, "I'm sorry for bringing a lamb to school..." The teacher looked confused as she said that. "A... lamb? Where is the lamb, Mary?" Mary pointed to the lamb. "Right here. My mom said she couldn't see it either, but it's obviously right here." The teacher was concerned. "Mary, there's no lamb there." "What? Yes there is! It's right here, see?" Mary pointed at the lamb again. The teacher called her mother. Looking further into it, they found out that Mary could see ghosts. Apparently hundreds of years ago, there was a farm here that burned in a fire. The day after they found out she could see ghosts, Mary asked who the kid sitting in the corner of the classroom was. There was no kid sitting there...
