Jariya had assumed something had happened when her hand shot out of the bears fur. Without hesitation, he grabbed onto her and quickly pulled her quite some distance away from the bear.Jariya's mother, Hope Goldenheart stepped out of the bushes. She wasn't at all afraid of the bear as she knew that they were trained pretty well to /not/ h7rt anybody. She smiled expectantly at the two children without saying anything at all.Arwen was flabbergasted. She let go of Jariya's hand and winced."M-Mrs. Goldheart-?" she murmured. The bear sniffed her and then left. Her acorn earrings rocked in the air as she looked temporarily speechless.Jariya next to her just looked as equally surprised. He quickly stepped away from Arwen and brushed his hand through his hair like it had been messy.Hope just grinned, "Well that oughta make the headlines? What do you think Jariya?" Jariya's mind finally clicked, it was his /mother/ who sent the bear after them. He looked a bit upset about that- scratch that really upset."You're saying that you put our liv3s in danger.... /FOR A NEWS PAPER?/" he shook his head, taking a few steps back. "You're /!ns@n3/," he snapped.Arwen pictured this bizarre experience on the papers. Her mind raced and blood bulged at her nerves. Her insides were squirming uncomfortably as she bit her lips and the hands on her cheeks dropped down.Mrs. Goldenheart just shrugged, "But think about how much attention to our company that'll attract," she grinned. "You two are such a c7t3 pair," she grinned quite a bit.Jariya would have been speechless if he wasn't so angry. "Stop trying to dictate my life," he said through gritted teeth. His wings stretched out behind him as if he planned to fly away."Mrs.Goldenheart you are just /crossing/ the line! This is an invasion of personal space," Arwen snapped ",and I am /not/ interested in Jariya nor this-this /m@tch-making drama/.If these make it to the headlines,I'll have to report this to the authority." She flushed furiously. Her mind kind of said she was lying here, not about the authority of course.Well...she wasn't sure about Jariya, really.A bunch of violet shrooms cascaded down her front as she hid her face trying to pick them up.Jariya rolled his eyes, some of his snarkyness coming back already, he leaned in a bit closer to Arwen and muttered. "I don't believe she knows what personal space is," he half-joked. He bent down and picked up one of her mushrooms with a sigh. Mrs. Goldenheart just shrugged, "Actually, I won't even have to mention your name, all that would be needed is the event that happened and my son,"" Oh /good/! I had a /lot/ of fun with this little play.Mrs.Goldenheart,are you still coming to my mother's auction today,or would you be a bit /tired/?" Arwen asked darkly, although she gave Mrs.Goldenheart a polite smile. She took the shroom softly out of Jariya's hand and added as an undertone,"Couldn't agree more.See you at the auction if she's coming." Arwen's mother had been planning to display her jewelled works on an auction since last year.Arwen was really excited about it,really.Jariya sighed, "My entire family will be there, don't worry, my mother wouldn't miss the chance... plus, we can afford pretty much anything," he smiled slightly, sharing his mother like for flaunting around how much money and gold they had. ll Hope fanned herself with a paper fan which she considered to be priceless. "I am a /little/ tired, hopefully your mother's auction would give me that boost I was looking for," she smiled slightly. She was the type who enjoyed these events.Arwen looked suddenly flustered."Oh no...I couldn't have forgotten..Mrs. Goldenheart? I-" Arwen handed her a slip of paper "it's a symphony my father gave me before, you know..Well,could you see if it's familiar? I'm really horrible at music." She smiled jokingly."Jariya,d'you like /glowing/ things?" she smiled wider "Maybe, you can check this out.I tried my best to make it like my mother, although this is probably worse."She passed him a gleaming yellow amulet, which was smoothened at the ends."Yellow fluorite.I found it in the caves.I don't go gem-collecting often. It's boring alone."Jariya didn't hesitate to take the amulet and inspect it. "Of course," he smiled, "I do love glowing things- anything that sparkles really," he looked down at the amulet before asking, "How much is it?" he kept his eyes on the amulet, really taking an interest to it. ll Mrs. Goldheart handed the paper back to her, "Why don't you just hire a musician to play something for you? Or wait-" she grabbed onto Jariya and yanked him over to her side. "I made sure that Jariya knows how to play /several/ musical instruments," she smiled brightly."Oh alright." Arwen replied. "What do you mean how much it is?" she snapped at Jariya."I'm giving it to you,not selling it! I thought you were smart."Jariya looked like he was blanking out a bit. "Uhm... because everything has a price,"
he was being a little blunt. No one ever gave him anything for /free/ per say but money wasn't really an object for him. If he wanted something, he would just simply pay for it. "But alright whatever- Thanks for the gift I guess," he let out a small sigh and put the amulet on."Hey.This is for later, but not every precious thing comes with a price tag,Mr.Goldheart!Even the tiniest good thing offered with the purest intentions is worth something beyond money.." Arwen added wisely. She headed off home,it was getting dark and she had to get her best gown on for the auction. She ran into the bushes, slowly disappearing from sight .
